Our builder had already begun some early stages of a media room, but we needed to remove most of it to fit the design we had in mind.

Beginning of drywall demolition.

Removing lights and drywall.

Exposed floor joists and wiring.

Chipboard installed for sound dampening.

Drywall removed to allow conversion of media closet door to pocket door (also involved rerouting vaccuum outlet).

Installing drywall over chipboard.

Re-mudding media closet and installing lights.

Experimenting with screen sizes based on proposed seating distances.

Installing conduit and wiring.

Conduit outlet locations in media closet.

Experimenting with different box ceiling and dome designs and sizes.

Removal of front wall to allow access for installing snack bar sink drain, speakers, and screen frame.
